After the X-Men, get ready to find the beloved Marvel character in a new guise

Look who's back! While waiting for the live-action version to swing back on the big screen, Spider-Man is ready to arrive on the small screen thanks to a new animated series, the first official trailer of which has now been shown. From the same people who over the last year have given us nostalgic emotions thanks to X-Men '97, the revival series of the Marvel mutant team, here is a new adventure of the friendly neighborhood hero: Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man takes us back to the same neighborhoods and situations that we know very well, where Peter Parker must divide his time between school and fighting crime.
Set in a parallel universe, here Spider-Man can count on the advice of his mentor Norman Osborn, aka the archenemy Green Goblin, instead of that of Tony Stark aka Iron Man as happened in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Teenager in trouble, still clumsy hero, this Spider-Man is still looking for his team and ideal costume… The friendly neighborhood Spider-Man will be voiced in the original version by Hudson Thames, while Colman Domingo (nominated for an Oscar) will voice Osborn, Kari Wahlgren will be Aunt May and Hugh Dancy will be Doctor Octopus.
There will also be some prestigious returns: Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio will return to give voice to Daredevil and Kingpin, while among the new features, it is worth mentioning the presence of Paul F. Tompkins in the voice role of The Wizard, another famous Marvel Comics character.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man will debut on Disney+ on January 29, 2025, while to see the hero again on the big screen we will have to wait a long time: the fourth film with Tom Holland is scheduled for summer 2026 and therefore it is likely that in the coming months, new features will start to arrive. No news instead for the third chapter of the animated trilogy with Miles Morales, Beyond the Spider-Verse, whose original release was scheduled for 2024 and whose fate is still unknown.
