"With great power comes great responsibility." Shameik Moore, who plays Miles Morales, the protagonist in the animated film "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse," spoke about his own growth and change through this proverb that symbolizes the Marvel "Spider-Man" series. According to Moore, his understanding of this phrase has changed significantly over the years he has been involved in "Spider-Verse." Collider reports his comments on stage at "Fan Expo San Francisco."

"To me, it's like, 'With great power comes great responsibility,' or, 'Anyone can wear a mask. "The way you wear your mask makes you a hero" and other phrases have changed the way I hear them. The words my parents said to me when I was 10 years old sound completely different when I'm 20." Moore said of the feeling of being able to understand the meaning of words more deeply as time and growth pass, "It's like rereading a book you read for the first time and having a completely different experience. It's the same as looking at a painting, listening to a song you used to listen to, or watching a movie."

"The first time you saw 'SpongeBob Squarepants' is different from the first time you saw it as an adult." For Moore, the same thing happens with the quotes about 'Spider-Verse' and Spider-Man. "You miss a lot of subliminal messages (at first). As you evolve, your initial understanding changes." The 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse' series is set in a world after the death of Peter Parker and tells the story of Miles Morales, a boy who became the second Spider-Man, and the Spider-Men who appeared from the multiverse.

In the second film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023), Miles' position has changed significantly, and new implications have been given to this proverb. Surely Moore's interpretation has also changed. Currently, the third film, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, is in production. Due to the Writers Guild of America strike in 2023, production has been delayed and the release date is currently undecided. How will the growth that Moore has cultivated through the series be portrayed in the next film? The changes in Moore's own career, which has continued to grow during this time, will surely be reflected in his role.
