Severance – Season 2: Apple TV+ Series Trailer Revealed

Apple TV+ has released the trailer for the second season of Severance, the acclaimed thriller series starring Adam Scott and Patricia Arquette.

Apple TV+ has released the official trailer for the long-awaited second season of Severance. During an exclusive event held in Brazil, creator, writer, and executive producer Dan Erickson, alongside star and executive producer Adam Scott and actors Britt Lower and Tramell Tillman, gave fans an unprecedented preview of what will happen to the “innies” and “outies” of the mysterious Lumon Industries. The second season, consisting of 10 episodes, will debut on January 17, 2025, with the first episode, followed by new episodes every Friday until March 21.


Apple TV+ unveils the trailer for the second season of Severance

The critically acclaimed, Emmy and Peabody Award-winning workplace thriller is the brainchild of Dan Erickson, with Ben Stiller directing and executive producing. Severance boasts an all-star cast that includes Emmy nominee Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, Emmy winner John Turturro, Academy Award winner Christopher Walken, and Academy Award and Emmy winner Patricia Arquette. Sarah Bock and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson are also joining the series regulars for season two.

The series follows Mark Scout (Adam Scott), the leader of a team at Lumon Industries whose employees have undergone a procedure called “Severance,” which surgically separates their work memories from their personal ones. As the boundaries between his personal and professional lives seem to be in perfect balance, Mark's world becomes more complicated when a disturbing mystery emerges, forcing him to confront the true nature of his work and his identity. In season two, Mark and his colleagues will have to deal with the dramatic consequences of having challenged the boundaries between memory and identity, falling into a vortex of dangers and shocking discoveries.

The new season will be directed by Ben Stiller, who will direct five episodes, and directors Uta Briesewitz, Sam Donovan, and Jessica Lee Gagné. In addition to Erickson, who also writes the screenplay, Severance is executive produced by John Lesher, Jackie Cohn, Mark Friedman, Beau Willimon, Jordan Tappis, Caroline Baron, Richard Schwart,z, and Nicholas Weinstock. Adam Scott and Patricia Arquette also serve as executive producers. The series is produced by Fifth Season.

The first season of Severance was a huge success with audiences and critics. It won an AFI Award and received 14 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (Ben Stiller), and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (Adam Scott), winning awards for Outstanding Music Composition and Outstanding Theme Song. The series also received two Writers Guild of America Awards for Outstanding New Series and Outstanding Drama Series, as well as nominations from the Screen Actors Guild Awards, the Producers Guild Awards, and the Directors Guild Awards.
