The latest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Captain America: Brave New World, is the fourth film in the familiar Captain America series and the first solo film for Sam Wilson, who took on the role of Captain America in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021). It was originally given the subtitle New World Order, but this was later changed. The subtitle New World Order was announced along with the production announcement in July 2022. After that, filming began in March 2023, and the title was changed to Brave New World in June. Why did Marvel Studios make this decision after filming had begun? In the UK's Empire, producer Nate Moore answers this question. It seems that there was a political decision involved, as this work follows on from the "Captain America" series and "Falcon & Winter Soldier," which are among the most politically charged MCU works.

"I thought the title 'New World Order' was very interesting, atmospheric, and scary. But to be honest, there were voices from inside and outside the project that said, 'This phrase is also used to offend people in the real world.'"

It is important to note that the term "New World Order" is often used in the context of conspiracy theories. The elites who promote globalization are trying to create a government that unifies the entire world and controls the world through the "New World Order." Influential people in the political and economic worlds are working to achieve this plan, or are being manipulated by someone... The problem is that this is a political thriller about a conspiracy, and the key person is the president. The story begins with an assassination attempt on President Thaddeus Ross, played by Harrison Ford, and Sam pursues a conspiracy brewing beneath the surface.

As the trailer makes clear, Thaddeus goes berserk as the Red Hulk, but the reason for his rampage is shrouded in mystery. It seems that they couldn't send out a story about a terrible conspiracy looming over the nation and the president being manipulated with a title like "New World Order." The release date is about three weeks after Donald Trump was re-elected as president. "We have no intention of telling a story that is ripped from the headlines," says Moore, but it was necessary to minimize the risk as much as possible.

"The best thing to do is try to ground the story in a world that feels real. Reality and fiction sometimes coincide in unexpected and unintended ways." Incidentally, Ford, who plays the president, said, "There is no president who can transform into the Hulk right now, and we have never faced such a political situation," he said, jokingly. "But we've seen enough politics to see that in a political Marvel movie. This isn't about that. It's about a man trying to deal with his history, his character, and his current situation." Captain America: Brave New World will be released in theaters nationwide on Friday, February 14, 2025.
