Marvel’s Vision actor Paul Bettany has provided some exciting updates on the upcoming WandaVision spin-off series, Vision Quest. During the Los Angeles premiere of his latest film, Here, the actor revealed that Vision Quest will begin production in 2025, with a slated release on Disney+ in 2026. Bettany said he’s “really excited” about what’s coming, but declined to reveal specific plot details, joking that “spies end up in ditches.” And Everything We Know About the WandaVision Spin-Off Series:

Vision Quest will be the second WandaVision spin-off, following Agatha: House of Harkness, the series centered on the character of Agatha Harkness, played by Kathryn Hahn, and currently airing on Disney+. Bettany expressed his appreciation for this project and showrunner Jac Schaeffer's work, declaring that he wants to rewatch the series to continue enriching his contribution as Vision. The new chapter of Vision Quest will explore the complexity of Vision, introduced in WandaVision, in his journey of rediscovering his identity and purpose. After his reconstruction by the organization SWORD, using the remains of the original Vision, this new Vision must deal with a profound personal evolution, a theme of particular interest to fans.

Terry Matalas, executive producer of Star Trek: Picard, will serve as showrunner of the series, bringing his experience in complex science fiction storytelling that befits the character. Vision Quest will also see the return of James Spader in the role of Ultron, the famous villain introduced in Avengers: Age of Ultron, a sentient android created by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner using the Mind Stone. This time, Spader will join Bettany and, according to reports, actor Todd Stashwick, who will play an assassin aiming to recover Vision’s technology. The dynamic between Vision and Ultron will add a layer of intensity to the series, reprising one of the most iconic conflicts in MCU history.
