Photos from the set promise a costume faithful to the comics and to the Spider-Man Noir seen in the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Filming continues on Spider-Man Noir, a live-action series by Prime Video that will be part of Sony's Spider-Man Universe. The show stars Nicolas Cage as Spider-Man Noir, a role he already voiced in the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018). Directly from the set, the first photos of the live-action Spider-Man Noir costume have arrived, which appears faithful to the comics and the animated film.

Little is known about the exact plot of the Spider-Man Noir show, but following the comics, the character is Peter Parker of Earth-90214, a noir version of New York. Peter becomes a gun-toting, criminal-hunting investigative journalist who, at night, transforms into a black-clad vigilante, fighting against organized crime and corruption.
As anticipated, the first photos of Spider-Man Noir show us a costume that is highly faithful to the original comics and Cage's Spider-Man, which we saw in the animated film starring Miles Morales. From the photos, taken exclusively by TMZ, we see Nicolas Cage's Spider-Man Noir is maneuvering on top of a vintage car, which clearly harks back to the noir style, and is dressed with distinctive elements of this Spider-Man, the long black coat, the hat, and the dark clothes, in addition to the entirely covered face.

Emmy-winning director Harry Bradbeer (Fleabag, Killing Eve) will direct the series and will be an executive producer of the first two episodes. Oren Uziel (The Lost City, 22 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot (Marvel’s The Punisher, Shantaram) will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers, and develop the series alongside the team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse: Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascal. Spider-Noir will debut in the U.S. on MGM+’s linear channel and globally on Prime Video in 2025.
