A24 has today released the first intense trailer for Queer, the new film directed by Luca Gudagnino.

The film was presented at the last edition of the Venice International Film Festival and received excellent reviews from the international press. Queer has already made the rounds of some of the most important international festivals, including the Toronto International Film Festival, and subsequently the NY Film Fest Spotlight Gala. Guadagnino's new film is based on the novel of the same name by William S. Burroughs. At the center of the plot is an intense homosexual love story set in Mexico City in the 1950s. The two protagonists are played by Daniel Craig and Drew Starkey.
A24 will distribute Queer in the USA from November 27, 2024, and in Italy from February 13, 2025.

Synopsis: It is 1950. William Lee is an American in his late twenties expatriate in Mexico City. He spends his days almost entirely alone, except for the few relationships with other members of the small American community. The meeting with Eugene Allerton, a young student who has just arrived in the city, gives him the illusion for the first time of the possibility of finally establishing an intimate connection with someone. QUEER is a Fremantle film, produced by The Apartment, a Fremantle company and Frenesy Film Company, and Fremantle North America, in association with Cinecitta’s spa and Frame by Frame.
