With Venom: The Last Dance scheduled for release on October 25, 2024, speculation about a possible meeting between Eddie Brock and Spider-Man is intensifying. After two successful films, this third film could mark the end of Tom Hardy's interpretation of the iconic anti-hero. Recent photos from the set have revealed Eddie Brock in scenes set in New York City, which has reignited fan interest in the potential involvement of the famous wall-crawler.

Venom 3, what role for Spider-Man!?

Rumors of a Spider-Man appearance have been fueled by the connections already established between the two characters. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Venom made a brief cameo, creating a link between the two universes. Furthermore, Eddie Brock's narrative is historically tied to New York, where many of his adventures in the comics take place. With the Big Apple being part of Venom 3, there’s a good chance the film will address the relationship between Brock and Spider-Man, leading to a final showdown between the two.

The debate over which version of Spider-Man could appear in the film is still open. While rumors have mostly focused on Tom Holland, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man, other options like Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield can’t be ruled out. Whatever the choice, a Spider-Man cameo could provide a satisfying conclusion to the Venom trilogy and help us better understand the future of Sony’s cinematic universe, which could see a major shift after the release of Kraven the Hunter.
