The first trailer for the action-adventure comedy movie "Red One", produced by Amazon MGM Studios and featuring the strongest tag team of Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans, has been released in the US. In this film, a man who serves as the head of security in the North Pole (Dwayne Johnson) teams up with the world's most notorious bounty hunter (Chris Evans) to rescue Santa Claus (J.K. Simmons), who has been kidnapped by someone and goes by the code name "Red One". The two will engage in action that will take them all over the world.
The trailer begins with a muscular Santa Claus working hard to bulk up for his Christmas job. One day, Santa Claus is kidnapped. "I'll definitely find him." The security guard played by Dwayne vows solemnly and summons a certain man. The man who was forcibly brought to the scene was Jack Omari (Evans), a man known as the "world's best tracker" and "legend." He was told the situation, but he seemed confused by the suddenness of the news. The security man didn't care and immediately got to work, with a bipedal polar bear watching over Omari, who was on the bad guy list.
On the way to the scene, the men went into a toy store and for some reason bought a Hot Wheels miniature car. When they went outside, the security man used a device attached to his wrist to enlarge the car, and a real Chevrolet Corvette appeared. Omari was stunned, but he was quick to ask the toy store clerk, "Do you have a Wonder Woman action figure?" It seems that he wants to add Wonder Woman to his group, but the security man interrupts, saying, "You can't do that, hurry up." "There are a lot of things here that don't exist in nature." When the security guard warns them, Krampus, a devilish creature from central Europe's legend, appears.
Other beast-like monsters and violent snowmen also appear, creating a fantasy world. If they can't find the kidnapped Santa Claus, this year's Christmas is in danger of being postponed. Will the mismatched duo played by Dwayne and Evans be able to complete their mission? In addition to Dwayne, Evans, and J.K. Simmons as Santa Claus, this film also brings together a powerful cast of co-stars. The cast includes Lucy Liu from the Charlie's Angels, Kill Bill series, and Shazam!: Wrath of the Gods (2023), Kiernan Shipka from Sabrina: The Dark Adventures (2018-2020), Bonnie Hunt from Jumanji (1995), Kristofer Hivju from Game of Thrones (2011-2019) and The Fate of the Furious (2017), and Nick Kroll from Sausage Party (2016).
The director is Jake Kasdan, who will be teaming up with Dwayne for the Jumanji series. In addition to Dwayne and director Jake Kasdan, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia from Dwayne's production company Seven Bucks Productions are also involved as producers. Chris Morgan, who served as writer and executive producer for the seven Fast & Furious films, will write the script based on Hiram's original idea and will also serve as producer. Red One will be released in theaters worldwide exclusively on November 15, 2024.
